Manstore Cheeky Brief
The word “cheeky” can be interpretated in different ways… The word itself is taken from the word “cheek” which is often also used for one of the buttocks. Besides that the meaning of “cheeky” is also tacky or camp. So you can state that whenever we are talking about a “cheeky” brief or slip, we are talking about a daring one and it has all the focus on the bum… The cheeky brief has a low-waist cut on the front and high at the back. You could call it the perfect combination between a brief and a string. If you love the “freedom” when wearing a string but you prefer a bit more support and body than you could use the “cheeky” brief as it has both …
The Manstore Cheeky Brief is available in several materials and colours but the shape and fit does always stay the same ! A good pouch gives great support and gives an extra dimension on the profile. The back is designed to give your bum just the extra bit and accent…
Don’t mix up the cheeky brief and the hot pants as they are both by Manstore. However the hot pants have a lower cut waist in the back and you could see these as a combination of men’s trunk underwear and men’s thong underwear.

The perfect Sports Outfit – What are you wearing ?
In some gyms it is not allowed to enter the room with sleeveless shirts or shirts which expose certain parts of the body. In other gyms you can wear whatever you want to wear. Some runners wear tight running tights and others prefer the old fashioned loose fit sweatpants.
What is the perfect sports outfit – if it exists – and what are you wear during your gym session ?
Sander (customer) says :
What am I wearing when I go to the gym?
“If you practice team sports it is clear what you have to wear. Mostly it is just the uniform of the club you are playing for. Also in sports such as tennis and golf clothing rules are clear and restricted. For the gym you have many different outfits to choose from. Me, I like to train in a tank or sports shirt combined with tight shorts. It feels nice and it very comfortable to move in. The pants may be loose or tight fit, as long as they are very comfortable to wear. The sleek model seems to be more accepted if women wear them. In the beginning it was mostly when swimming and doing gymnastics men were seen wearing the tights. Now a days you see them more often on men while running, cycling or at the gym. The level of acceptance might be influenced by the fact that particular body parts of men are more visable when wearing tight shorts or pants. The same could be said for women wearing thight t-shirts and pants… I prefer to wear short, black tights with a thong underneath. For example : BodyAware. These cover up everything, more or less and it gives me the possibility to move freely. However I do find some tights – such as N2N Bodywear – a bit to daring. They are nice but more likely for other events.”
Marc (administrator) says :
“For me, it would be a lot easier if I could wear the same outfit for all sports. Whether it is obligated or not, wearing the same outfit does not only save me a lot of time but it would also save a lot of money. For each and every sport I practice I do have matching outfits and gear. I always try to take a little care about the way I look and that isn’t only when I am in the gym or during running and cycling. I prefer a complete and good outfit at home during practice too. It feels like a kind of motivation and it makes me feel good. As gym gear I finally found an outfit which I can use during my cardio workout and my weight-lifting ! A tight fit sport singlet by N2N Bodywear combined with a loose fit short. It’s ideal to move freely without having a bare belly when putting my arms up. At the same time the outfit is very practical if I want to gain a little weight and practice on a rowing machine. Talking about running I still do have my doubts; should I wear underpants under my Nike runner tights or not ? If I see men jog I notice myself looking to check whether they wear boxershorts or briefs underneath their runners. Probably it also has to do with the fact that I own a men’s underwear shop. To wear underpants or not ? I really wouldn’t know. Maybe I should wear a thong underneath like Sander does. That way I am sure everything is in control and doesn’t show too much.
When cycling it all seems a lot less complicated. Everybody wears more or less the same outfit… Short cycling tights and a matching shirt. Simple, you might think, but for me there seems to be another (leg) issue; to shave or not to shave ? Well maybe we talk about that another time …”

Rather a swimbrief – From loose fit to tight fit
We are very happy with all the positive responces to our new column : “PIC(K) OF THE WEEK”. As you know we do give extra information in our column about certain items. We share experiences on products and brands. Experiences by our customers and by ourselves which we want to share with you.
One of our customers did share his experience with several types of men’s swimwear over the past few years. Sander, we do want to thank you for sharing your experience on our blog.
Sander (customer) says :
“I always used to wear loose fit swimshorts. When I laid myself down in the sun I would roll up the legs of my shorts, like most men still do. That way I tried to get more colour… Especially when I did swim I disliked how the swimshorts would feel with all the wet cloths around my legs. So I thought why don’t I buy a swimbrief or slip. Well I did and I did get myself a beautiful HOM micro swimslip. It took a while to feel more comfortable in them but eventually I did and even better I really liked it. The slips of HOM were and are really good and very nice. Every year, around spring, I would buy myself a new pair and of different brands too. It is nice to wear some different brands like aussieBum. Later on I went to get myself some tight trunks. The ones from aussieBum are cool, nice and they are very comfortable indeed. Now a days you do also have loose fit shorts with short legs but I still prefer the briefs.”

The first product which we will review is the HOM Fredy thong. We will examen some characteristics of this thong produced by HOM. Furthermore we will give some experience by one of our employees (Marc).
The HOM Fredy thong is a men’s thong made of cotton and it is one of the best sold items made by HOM Underwear. In all honesty you can call this thong a real original men’s thong! The Fredy thong is made of a thin and soft stretchable cotton and has a smell elastic band between the buttocks.

“I do wear the Hom Fredy thong for several years and for me this is one of the thongs with a very good reference between quality and price. What I do like about the thong is the small triangle just above the bum. It does bring that bit of sexiness … The front has a perfect shape and keeps everything in place without squeezing it. The thing I personally dislike about the thong is the small elastic band between the buttocks. It is more like a tiny rope and I do prefer a bit of fabric which is softer. This is even more important if I am wearing the thong for the entire day. Although the colour fades a bit after washing it a few times the quality of fabrice stays intact perfectly. The other thing I do not like too much is the logo on the front but I do understand the brand wants to show its name…”

“Hi, I read the discription of the Fredy thong by HOM on your site. What a nice idea those posts! I do like the fit of the Fredy thong a lot but I do agree on the little elastic rope. It’s too thin and it might be a bit sharp. If you wear the thong a little longer it might feel a bit uncomfortable.”
The HOM Fredy thong is a nice thong to wear. Because of the soft cotton fabric this thong is breathable and moisture-regulating. This makes it ideal to use for sports as well.
